Bianca Liew

Clinical Psychologist

Bianca is passionate about working with children, parents and families seeking a better understanding of their child’s emotional, behavioural or developmental needs. She is particularly interested in strengthening parent-child relationships, helping families make sense of what may underlie a child’s difficulties and finding ways to support children to feel understood, confident and able to thrive. Bianca is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience across both the public and private sectors, supporting children, parents and families. She takes a family-focused approach to her work, recognising the important role parents play in creating nurturing environments that support their child’s emotional wellbeing and development.

Bianca works collaboratively with parents to better understand their child’s unique strengths and needs, strengthen their parenting confidence, and develop practical ways to support their family. She recognises that parenting can sometimes feel uncertain or overwhelming, particularly when a child is experiencing difficulties that are not easily understood.

Bianca also has extensive experience in psychological assessment, including cognitive, educational, and neurodevelopmental assessments. Bianca is also trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). She brings a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to assessment, helping children and families develop a clearer understanding of their experiences, strengths and support needs.

Bianca is trained in the Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P) and draws on attachment and relational principles in her work with parents and families.

Bianca holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical), a Graduate Diploma of Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science (Psychology). She is a Psychology Board of Australia approved Clinical Supervisor. Bianca also works as a lecturer at Deakin University supporting provisional psychologists in the clinical psychology program. She is also undertaking individual training in Gottman’s Bringing Baby Home program, complementing her expertise in perinatal mental health, relationships and the transition to parenthood.
